Hi my name is Jonathan and I'm raising money to assist in covering some medical, travel expenses and other expenses while I'm out of work for a much-needed kidney transplant. I was diagnosed in July 2020 with (CKD) chronic kidney disease and I am currently in stage 5 kidney failure. Since this diagnosis, I have had two surgeries, one of which was urgent in an effort to receive emergency dialysis to replace the function of my failing kidneys. I am in the process of trying to get on the national and regional kidney transplant lists. The sooner I can receive a kidney the greater the chance I have to live a longer and healthier life. Your support will help in the effort to save me from this life-threatening disease.
A little bit about me. I am a man of faith and hope, a son, a father of an amazing teenager and a brother to a beautiful little sister. I am 38 years old and I enjoy reading, music, spending time with family, laughing and traveling. I am a member and worship leader at a Church of Christ in the New Orleans area. I am also a United States Air Force veteran who served in the military and was deployed to Iraq in 2003 during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
I will be prayerfully traveling back and forth from the VA Hospitals in New Orleans Louisiana and Houston Texas for multiple tests and doctor appointments until the transplant. I truly appreciate all of your prayers and any support during this difficult and challenging time. This is a very serious and time-sensitive situation. I am currently in stage 5 kidney failure so I'm doing my best to expedite this process. The doctors believe that my being unaware and untreated for hypertension or high blood pressure for an extended period is what caused my kidney failure. Continue to pray for me and Thank you for taking your time to read this and donate to this cause. Thanks again.
