This fundraiser will provide financial support to Brooklyn Hope and her family during her medical treatment. Brooklyn was born in October 2013 with a severe heart defect called hypoplastic left-heart syndrome (HLHS). She endured three open-heart surgeries to reconstruct her heart by mid-2017. In January 2019, Brooklyn was diagnosed with protein-losing enteropathy (PLE). At that time, a gastronomy tube was placed in her tummy and port in her chest to accomodate the appropriate medicine therapy for PLE. She receives ongoing cardiac care out of state and is now traveling several states from home to receive cutting-edge treatment for PLE.
