Spoons Vet Bills
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Emily and I am a newfound cat parent ever since I moved in with my partner Justin, and started living with his cat Spoons. On February 28th, just after I landed in San Diego for a work conference, Spoons started to show signs of having kidney stones.
Knowing Spoons had a history of kidney issues, Justin made the difficult decision to bring Spoons to the emergency vet and have him hospitalized. We were hoping this would only be a 1-2 night stay with limited tests, but the number of tests kept piling up and, therefore, the number of nights he needed to stay.
Right now he is being treated for a double whammy of liver and kidney infections. He has been released to be back at home with us for the week, but he will need another ultrasound next week to see if any blockages in his liver cleared up. If they haven't there is a chance he will need a risky surgery to remove the blockages.
Spoons in our sweet, sensitive, grumpy boy. He means the whole world to us and we would do anything to make sure he is going to live a long, happy, and healthy life. We are trying to take this next week one day at a time, but it hard to think about all the unknowns. Anything you can donate will go toward his medical bills would make such a difference for us and you'll never know how grateful we are for the support. We love our cats and we love you all <3
