Hi, I'm Mariah, Justin's sister in law. I am setting this up to help Justin, Katelyn, Grace, and Liam while Justin is in the Hospital.

As many of you know, Justin took his family on vacation and fell ill shortly after arriving. He was sent to the hospital in California, and was diagnosed with a few issues, most prominent being sepsis, an infection throughout his body. The infection has become a problem with his heart and the infection has attached to his melody valve. As of 10:00 this morning 12/13/21, Justin had to undergo a stent procedure. His right ventricle is currently too weak to endure open heart surgery. They will try to contain the infection that has attached to his melody valve and if possible insert a temporary valve to give his right ventricle time to become stronger before they do open heart surgery to completely remove the infected valves and replace with a new one. He remains at UCLA medical center and will be here for some time.

Katelyn updated this afternoon saying:

"Justin made it through, stent is in and new valve is in. The Dr. said he is surprised he is alive, had he not been in such good physical shape he wouldn’t have made it, he had to use a teeny wire to get through the blockage but everything went fantastic.

Justin went to sleep listening to Johnny Cash And woke up yelling "I love you" to the Dr. god watched over him, thank you all so much. Now to recover for the next one."

We all know that Justin worries about the well being of his family above all else, so I thought it would be helpful to take at least some of the financial stresses away from them.
