Maria's battle with Cancer

Hello friends and family,  If you know Maria, you know she fought cancer about 4yrs ago.  Unfortunately, it has reared it's ugly head again.  However, this time the doctors think they caught it sooner.  Maria's doctors have found a 4cm growth on her spleen.  She will be having Cytoreductive surgery at Cedars Sinai on July 24th to remove all of the tumor they can see and feel.  While Maria is under, they will pour hot chemo into her body to get anything they could not.  It is a brutal procedure, but hopefully it is one and done meaning Maria won't have to do more chemo after surgery.  She will be in the hospital for 3-5 days with 6wks of recovery (to walk).  It will take 3 months to get her back to where she is now. Maria is one of my best and closest friends.  I wanted to start this page for her to decrease the financial burden this is going to put on her so she can focus on healing and overcome this cancer again.  All donations will be going directly to Maria.
