This GoFundMe is in support of our dear friend Xiomara.

It is with a heavy heart that we share the sudden and devastating loss of Mara's partner and soulmate; Ben Graham to suicide on January 7, 2024. Ben was a loving and devoted father and partner and together they cared for 5 beautiful children.

Ben was the primary breadwinner for his household, working 18 years as the lead electrician on Black Hawk helicopters at Sikorsky. One of Ben’s most extraordinary gifts was his capacity to give love even in the face of tremendous personal pain and suffering. Being an incredible father came so natural to him. Ben would do anything for his children; from playing with legos, hot wheels, and video games with the boys to painting his daughter's nails, sharing his love of art, and playing with her extensive Little People collection. Ben was also an incredible partner to our friend Mara. He brought so much joy, laughter, and happiness to her life. His unwavering love for his family had no limit and will be felt and cherished forever.

We know Mara is going to have a long and challenging road ahead coping with the new reality of her life without Ben. Through this GoFundMe, we are hoping to help ease the financial burdens that lay ahead. All of the funds raised will go towards everyday expenses, and building a new future for our friend.

We are also hoping to bring light to the suicide epidemic - such a permanent decision often made because of a temporary problem, has a lifelong devastating ripple effect on the loved ones left behind. For anyone who needs to hear this, please know you are not alone, you are loved, and don't be afraid to ask for help. There is always hope and brighter days ahead.

The outpouring of love and support from friends and the community during this unimaginably difficult time means the world! A financial donation, however big or small, will have a huge impact on helping this young family navigate the tough journey ahead.
