On April 2021, Xiaoyong Yang was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer. He had survived twelve rounds of chemotherapy. Unfortunately, after 11 months of battle with cancer, he sadly passed away on March 12, 2022, accompanied by his family and friends. He was a loving husband, devoted father, wonderful friend and accountable colleague. He was deeply loved by his family, countless friends and colleagues, and will be missed by all of us.

 

He was born and raised in Changchun, China and came to the US in 2007. He earned a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Mississippi State University in 2010. In his professional career, he worked as a software engineer for Siemens and Walmart in New Jersey.

 

His family is in tremendous pain and sorrow now. He left behind his beloved wife, 8-year-old son, and dear mother who lost her husband eleven years ago and now her only child. He was the rock in the family. No words could adequately describe the brokenhearted feelings of loss and grief the family has been experiencing.

 

As a single-income family, his passing made his family suffer not only emotionally but also financially. To help the family go through this devastating time, we have created this Xiaoyong Yang memorial fund to assist with the funeral expenses, his son’s education expenses and other financial difficulties they have during this sorrowful time.
