Hi, I’m Kallie. I believe when you’re not well, you shouldn’t be working. In the picture above is an Air Force veteran, a man of God, and a carefree jokester with an incredible outlook on life; that is my 58-year-old Uncle Kevin. He works two jobs and was recently diagnosed with stage 3 prostate cancer. The cancer has spread outside his prostate, meaning he’s not eligible for surgery. In a few days, he’ll be headed to The Kirkland Center, a prominent cancer facility, to receive his treatment plan. Meanwhile, he is in terrible pain. I can’t stand to watch one of the most generous, compassionate people I know not receive the support and care he needs. That’s why I’m garnering your support to raise $25,000 to help fund his treatment and cover his expenses while he recoups. 

I grew up watching Uncle Kevin crack jokes with our family while whippin’ up one of his famous dishes in the kitchen. Seeing how silly and playful he is with his grandchildren will warm your heart ❤️. To hear him talk about Jesus like an old faithful friend brings tears to my eyes even thinking about it. He’s the type of guy when you walk into a room he always sees and values you. He’s that guy! That special family member you always need around. 

I want him to experience the joy that he brings to so many of our lives. To be able to give him this gift and just let him know that everything is going to be okay would mean the world to me, him, and the rest of our family. He won’t say it, but I know he’s got a lot on his plate. There’s no telling what is ahead and not being able to work and provide for his family is a place he hasn’t been before. He needs to know that his family and friends love him and will do whatever it takes to see him well again.
