I am the granddaughter of an amazing man. My grandpa Douglas is the most sweet, loving, compassionate and selfless person that I have ever known. His love and generousity have been a true blessing to our whole family.  He has helped so many and has never asked for a thing in return. He has offered time and money, shelter and encouragement to anyone in need. I have never seen him turn a person away. Sadly, I have also seen him be taken advantage of, as those with a generous soul often are. One person's ungrateful actions have never stopped him from helping another, this is what makes his so deserving. 

It is our goal to do something nice for Doug! It is time that he realize how his kindness has touched the lives of others. We would love to surprise Doug with a few days away while we take care of some maitenance and repairs to his home. While he has had some recent health issues, I would like to point out that this is not an emergency charity, but simply a nice gesture from friends and family. Donations are appreciated, and kind words are valued greatly. If you know Douglas personally, please don't tell, we would love for this to be a surprise!
