My name is Nevaeh Garland, and I am a student at Norfolk State University, majoring in Sociology. I am pursuing a degree in Sociology in order to have a better understanding of people and to be able to use this understanding to help my community after graduation. I am writing to ask for your support to enter my Sophomore year.

I was hit with an unexpected lack of funding, causing me to have a $5000.00 balance before I can return on August 18th. I have exhausted all of my options in regards to loans and grants. While I am actively applying for scholarships, time is running out.
