Last Friday, the Daymon family’s world was turned upside down when their 16-year-old son, Peyton, was taken to St. Louis Children’s Hospital after a sudden and serious medical emergency. Within hours of arrival, Peyton was in the care of an incredible medical team, and early Saturday morning he underwent emergency spinal surgery to remove a large tumor that was pressing against his spinal cord.
While the surgery was successful, Peyton now faces a long and difficult road ahead. His recovery will include at least three weeks of intensive inpatient care, followed by ongoing rehabilitation and healing. During this time, Elliott is focused entirely on being by Peyton’s side — advocating for him, supporting him, and helping him navigate the physical and emotional challenges that come with such a traumatic experience and Ansley is traveling back and forth from St. Louis as much as she possibly can, splitting her time and energy between Peyton and their daughter Taylor.
As so many of us know, medical emergencies don’t just take an emotional toll — they bring overwhelming financial stress as well. Between hospital expenses, travel back and forth, time away from work, and the costs that come with long-term recovery, the burden adds up quickly.
This is where our community can come together. If you’re able to donate, please know that no amount is too small. If you can’t give financially, sharing this fundraiser, offering prayers, and lifting this family up means just as much. Every bit of support helps as Peyton begins this long journey toward recovery.
Thank you for coming together for this family — your kindness, generosity, and prayers truly make a difference.
