Help Christy Make Ends Meet After Surgery
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Marissa and I am the second oldest out of Christy's four kids. I am making this because my mother is an amazing person and deserves not to have to struggle. She would go above and beyond for every person she met, even if they didn't deserve it. She would be the one to give them chance after chance. And as one hopes, we hope that karma will come full circle and help her in her time of need.
Christy is a Navy vet, served many years, and saw all kinds of amazing things worldwide. Because of her experience in the Navy she was able to land a job with the United States Postal Service. She has been your friendly neighborhood mail lady for around 15 years and has litterally worked so hard, her body is falling apart because of it.
A couple years back she went to the doctor and complained about her knees hurting and came to find out that the cartilage in her knees was begingin to deteriorate and cause the bones to rub against each other. Which also caused bone spurs to float around in the swollen areas of her knees.
This was painful news, as her job as a postal lady is to walk and deliver mail daily. Every day she walked, the worse her knees got but help was far from on the way.
Finally on Monday, March 21st 2022, she was set to go under surgery and can no longer work for at least 6 weeks while her ONE knee heals. (Still have to make plans for her other knee.) As she is the primary source of money for her household, this will hurt quite a bit. And this is why I am making this page and asking for help.
Christy is such a fun, beautiful, spirit. She loves the outdoors; she's goofy, adores her family, has a passion for makeup, and will ALWAYS go above and beyond for anyone if she can.
I completely understand that everyone is going through something, and not everyone can help, but as it's always said before; even a little goes a long way.
She still has bills to pay while she's out of work and while yes, she is getting paid medical leave, it isn't close to what she would be making if she was on her knees working a full weeks worth. She deserves the help and it's unfortunate that we have to ask for it to cover a full time paycheck...
We are grateful for anything given and thank you for taking the time to read this and consider helping.
