My name is Luis Hoffstadt and with my wife Raquel and my 2 year old daughter Verena we just moved a few months ago to a house and unfortunately we where affected by Hurricane IDA Sept 1st. and our basement got flooded with a bit more than 21 inches of water.

 

Due to we moved recently and we didn't finish unpacking, most of our belongings where on the basement and those got damage and went to the trash. My biggest concern right now is the water heater and the furnace that also got water damage and we will need to replaced those, specially now that colder days are coming.

Mold is also a big concern now.

 

I'm not one to ask for help, but this was so unexpected. Everything happened so fast! We witnessed all of our belongings floating and there was absolutely nothing we could do about it.

I'm grateful to God that we are safe.
