Alexis wheel chair fund
Donation protected
Hello we are the Weber's. I'm a soon to be 38 year old single mother trying to raise enough money to get my 13 year old daughter a special needs jogging stroller. She does have a wheel chair but that is hard to push thru parades, flea markets, fairs or really any where on uneven ground. My daughter Alexis (8 at the time) sustained a traumatic brain injury in Oct 2010. With many prayers answered, dedication, hard work, determination & her optamistic attitude she has over came many hurdles & surpassed everything her doctors & specialist had thought!! She is mentally & cognitivly intact, she just has some mobility issues now. She is unable to walk long distances (she uses a crutch d/t left sided weakness from her accident) like a zoo, 4-H fair, parades or even to go to her siblings sporting events. Like I said we do have her wheelchair but it is so hard to push her on uneven ground. We are asking for help to raise money to get her a special needs jogging stroller (it has bigger tires and a smoother ride on uneven ground) so she can come on these family outings. Her insurance company is not finding it necessary to have one of these and I'm unable to afford it for her. It is a Convay Cruiser & she will sit up higher & go just like a regular stroller but will accomadate her ht & wt. Thank-you for considering and ready our story!
