Dear Family & Friends,
I recently got some news that changed my life forever........ My father, my hero, my most favorite person in the world was diagnosed with cancer. There is nothing more terrifying than hearing that your parent has cancer. My whole world was turned upside down.
My father the man who has had a heart condition for many many years now has another huge obstacle to deal with......
Melanoma, the most dangerous type of skin cancer. The doctor found several places on his arms and a place on his temple that required surgery. Last week, he had a golf ball size area removed from the side of his head leaving him with a large wound that required 19 stitches.
After the surgery he has had several scans to see if they removed it all. We are still waiting for the results.
Prior to the surgery, he has been having "episodes" of dizziness and passing out. He went to the heart doctor and found out that the medicine that he has been taking for the last 10 years has stopped working. He then went in and had a heart cath. When the heart specialist called with the results he found out that he now has to have open heart surgery. This surgery will be taking place in the next couple of weeks and will require several weeks or months of recovery time.
My dad has now been placed on non-paid medical leave from work. The medical bills and just plain regular living expenses are piling up.......
My dad is a very proud and private person. I told him that making this page and asking our family and friends to help in this deperate time is necessary.
His job has placed him on non-paid medical leave which has allowed him to keep his medical insurance as long as he can pay the premium. He has no income coming in. He has medical and living expenses that are a must.
All the stress from the financial burdens are making his medical conditions worse..... So, I'm asking very humbly for donations.
Fo those that know my dad know how kind, funny and just and all around great guy he is. He is very strong and wants more than anything to take this whole situation and make it "no big deal".
But, he has realized finally that he must ask fo help.....
I told him that there are so many people that love him and our family. That they will want to help!
I pray that everyone who reads this will give a doantion and please pray for my dad and our family as we go through this very difficult time.
