Jason’s Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
In November of 2020 Jason was diagnosed with multiple myeloma cancer. Jason has been doing weekly chemotherapy treatments but he is now at the point where he will need to spend time Calgary alone due to Covid for a stem cell transplant.
Jason has had to give up the ability to work due to his diagnosis. Jason is on short term disability but that is only 1/3 wage. Unfortunately Barb lost her long term position in 2020 due to covid and the centre closing that she was employed with. She is also currently in full time college.
Cancer puts such an immense amount of pressure on the person and the family. Their day to day life has completely been impacted by this terrible disease. This is such an emotional time for everyone involved. We know that when someone you love is diagnosed with cancer everyone feels it that loves those people. It also makes it extremely difficult when it comes to finances and not being able to work and earn a full income to support a family.
This page is to ensure that the Kruk’s do not have the endure a heavy financial burden and can focus on what is most important and that is to make sure that Jason is getting healthy and strong. We know that finances can be so worrisome especially with no longer being able to work for such a long period of time.
If anyone knows the Kruk’s you know they would give you the shirt off their backs and help you out in every single way. They are always there to help their friends, family, and community in tough times, hard times, trying times, to celebrate, mourn, grieve, and support. We have all been touched by their kindness and love at one point in time in our lives. So if you can give, help, or support in anyway please do so. Every dollar counts. Whatever you can do now it’s your turn to give back in whatever way you can.
Donations will support fuel for travel visits to Calgary visits (daily/ongoing), lodging, bill payments, mortgage, medication, and whatever else they deem essential and important for his recovery. Jason will need to spent 2 weeks alone in Calgary and then their family will need to stay close to the hospital for up to 3 months.
Please keep the Kruk’s in your heart, minds, vibes, prayers, and always remember that your gift of a donation allows their family to experience this with a little less stress.
