I'm reaching out on behalf of my mom, Ada Montes. Last year she was diagnosed with duodenum cancer and was a candidate to have the Whipple procedure. What was supposed to be a five hour surgery took nine hours. She was expected to stay in the hospital anywhere from 7 to 10 days but all of the unexpected bumbs in the road she was finally released on day 19! It's been a struggle to recover from the surgery but she's one of the strongest women I know! I know with proper rest, nutrition and sheer will and determination along with a great support that she will kick cancers butt!!! Unfortunately she has used up all of her personal time, sick time and vacation time in order to recover from the surgery. She's gone back to work on light duty but upper management is pushing for her to go back full time. That's just not fair! She loves what she does and does not want to lose her job but the most important thing right now is that she fully recover and is able to live a normal life again. The medical bills are outrageous but that can be dealt with slowly over time. Right now she need your help in maintaining her house bills so she can have some more time off to recover and get thru chemo. I am here today asking for your help.. It takes a village to beat cancer and with your help I hope she can get relief and recuperate. Thank you for your help!
