As some of you know by now, my apartment in Queens caught fire yesterday evening, destroying much of my personal property and what little financial backing I had left post-COVID.

I'm beyond grateful that myself and my #1 boy (my dog) made it out and were fortunate enough to even have been given the opportunity to be here typing this today. But it is not easy. Creating a GoFundMe is something I never thought I'd ever do, no matter the cause (for my own foolish pride-driven reasons). Now here I sit, in an empty hotel room with zero idea of what to do next or how I will get there.

Plain and simple: I'm turning to you for help. Whether it's $5 or $50, at this point, rebuilding my life won't be possible without the support of the people around me and my community of friends online. That much I am

sure of. So I'm swallowing my pride and asking for your support in any form.

As I await the next steps in this painfully uncertain experience, I'm clinging to every bit of optimism I have left, kissing my dog's nose uncontrollably, and having no choice but to keep going and hope for the best in the end...whatever that may be.

Thank you 1,000x for making all of this, and rebuilding my life, that much easier on me. I genuinely love and appreciate my family and friends so much, and today, more than ever, I'm reminded how lost I'd be without you.
