I Can Beat Cancer

Hello,

My name is Angela Alexander, and I’m fund raising for myself. Some of you reading this may have already heard my unfortunate news and some of you are likely hearing/reading this for the first time.

I was diagnosed in May, 2022 with two types of breast cancer (invasive ductal carcinoma and pre-invasive ductal carcinoma). My cancer has also spread to my lymph node (metastatic carcinoma). I have an extremely long and difficult journey ahead of me. This week I will undergo surgery to have a port placed in my chest, I will then begin 5 months of chemotherapy. Concluding chemotherapy, I will undergo a double mastectomy and reconstruction surgeries and possibly radiation. Lastly, (god willing) I will be on medication for the next 10 years of my life.

Medical insurance doesn’t cover many of my expenses and I’m the sole provider for myself and my beautiful four year old daughter, Estelle. I’m unsure of when I’ll be able to return to work and the “normal” life I already miss…
