"My name is Ashley Walter and I have the honor of working with International Justice Mission (IJM) this coming summer at one of their field offices in Uganda.  IJM is a Christian non-profit organization that is based in Washington D.C. and has field offices that stretch across the globe. IJM is a global organization whose goal it to protect the poor from violence in the developing world through rescuing victims, bringing criminals to justice, restoring survivors and strengthening the justice system.

I am honored to have been offered the rare opportunity to use the knowledge and skills I have gained in my two years of law school as a legal intern for IJM in Uganda. this summer. I will be in Uganda from June to August.  My goal is to raise $6,000.00 to cover the costs of this internship as suggested by the Intern and Fellows recommendations at IJM.  This amount will cover housing, food, transportation and costs of living in the Uganda during my internship.  My goal is to raise this money by May 15th. 

This legal internship will provide me the chance of a lifetime to integrate myself in the area of human rights. I will be working directly with local Ugandan attorneys and IJM attorneys.
