Ah life ... It can be so fun sometimes! And also so challenging! One moment I'm pleased with myself, getting little chores completed around the house

BLAMMO! I so wish I could share some exotic story about what happened next, but the truth is really pretty entertaining! I fell - from the TWO STEP KITCHEN STEP STOOL - and broke my leg! As in seriously broke the leg at the knee!
I am so thankful for all my daughters, but in particular at that moment (6:00 am!) the 16 year old who is also an athletic trainer in school. She took great care getting me to the emergency room and taking care of the next greater challenge!! She really can be a force to be reckoned with!
My biggest worry this morning wasn't the leg, a broken leg can heal. My greatest challenge is I have no medical insurance. I am unable to work because of an auto-immune illness arm am fortunate to receive spousal support. But that doesn't allow me to afford he health insurance. The visit to the urgent care alone was $2708. I paid $100 this morning.
Here comes the fun part!! Not only did I break my leg, I did it in such a way that I now need to see an orthopedic surgeon because surgery is necessary to put a pin in the break.... Did I mention I have no health insurance?
It is simply my hope that this page give me the opportunity to collect some funds to pay Dr. Eddie Huang for his work.
And that this goofy injury get better by October as my girls and I along with many friends are planning to participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer's. I really don't want to be a spectator for that event!!
Thank you for any help you might be able to offer. And even if you aren't able to offer more than good wishes, maybe you could think of a more exciting story I could borrow for how I injured myself!
