Please Help the Williams Family!

Dear friends and family:

SYNOPSIS: Please help Mary & Don Williams, newly raising their eight-year-old nephew after his father passed away from liver cancer.

I’m going to tell you a story. It starts out sad but, as all good stories do, it picks up in the middle. It doesn’t have an ending yet. That’s where we need your help.

See the kid in the picture up above, that’s my nephew Rob. He’s a sweet kid. We’re just getting to know him now, but we know he loves sports and video games and, apparently, Chinese food. He’s 8 and in the third grade.

What makes this such a sad story is Rob just lost his father (John) to a hard-fought battle against liver cancer. And with no other family in his world willing to step up, my sister Mary and brother-in-law Don (John’s brother/Rob’s uncle) have stepped in to become Rob’s new family.

As of a few weeks ago, Rob has been living in their home in Palmdale, CA, becoming brand new parents to an 8-year-old at 70. To be honest, they are up to the challenge but this is a real financial hardship. Caring for two on a fixed income can be difficult. Caring for three - when one is a very rapidly growing young man - is a supreme challenge. Money is tight and with very few income opportunities, it will always be tight.

I’m doing this GoFundMe to make their lives a little easier. To keep a roof over their heads, to keep food on their plates, to keep the lights on, to make sure there is Internet so education and entertainment don’t suffer…

But mostly we’re doing it because this new family deserves a chance to move forward with fewer obstacles in front of them.

However you can help would be greatly appreciated. Obviously, money is the biggest challenge but if you would prefer helping in other ways, we can make arrangements to purchase grocery or Walmart gift cards to help the family out.

Also, please share this GoFundMe with your network, maybe someone will see this and feel compelled to help.

These are good people and they are doing an incredible thing for Rob. I would love for us to be able to help lighten the load and deliver a happy ending for my family.

Thank you all in advance.
