Cancer sucks. It is non-discriminatory and random. You can live your entire life eating healthy, staying active and doing all the right things and it will still find you. Feb 6 my mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic pancreatic cancer. The findings stemmed from a normal physical that led to several follow up tests, ultimately delivering the final results. Someone who takes no medications and has always been completely healthy with no issues was given the grim news. I am simply starting this account to supplement the medical costs that come with this diagnosis. Who knew cancer was so expensive? Mom has her port and will begin chemo next week. Mom has been approved for a clinical trial that is in the 3rd stage, which is promising news we are clinging to. Ultimately, there is no cure for this type of cancer but we are all trying to stay positive. I’ve been waiting to say much about it because it’s taken the last couple weeks to organize tests, appointments and treatments. Any thoughts, prayers or support is GREATLY appreciated but certainly not expected. Much love to all.
