Hi everyone. As the majority of you know, I lost my dad in early September after a very short battle with lung cancer. As you might also know, my mom is currently battling a type of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, and has been receiving chemotherapy for it for about two years. Unfortunately, the type of cancer that she has is incurable. The chemo that she receives every week is to help keep the cancer "at bay" and to help her keep fighting. After the passing of my father, my mom has been reduced to one income through social security, as she lost her job about a year ago due to her cancer. That said, she has an immense amount of bills that she is struggling to pay off every month; both hers and some for my dad.
In addition to that, my dad did not have any life insurance. Currently he does not have a head stone at the cemetery, and I would like for some of the proceeds from this to go towards being able to purchase one for him, as we have been struggling to come up with enough money to buy one. With any money that may be leftover, I will be giving it to my mom so she can use it to get the brake lines replaced on her car, so she can have the peace of mind of reliable transportation to get her to and from chemo and doctors appointments every week.
My mom is (and dad was) the most selfless people I will ever know, and they would give the shirt off their backs to help someone else in need. If you feel so inclined to donate even a small amount to help out my mom, I would forever be grateful to you.
