Artist Fights Breast Cancer-Rewards

To all of you Great People with Big Hearts,
Thank you for taking time to read my story.  

My name is Krystyna "Tess" Headings.  I'm 60 years old, self-employed artist (born in Poland, US Citizen for 30 years).  Living alone (divorced, no children) with cat Pattie,  in Plano, Texas.  

I am reaching out very humbly to everyone for your prayer support and/or financial support to my "Medical Security Fund" -during my journey, my fight against invasive Breast Cancer.  Also, I would appreciate your help with Art Comminssions or with Advertising my Art Busniess to your Friends and Family because it is the only source of income I have.

In June 2014, I was diagnosed with Invasive Breast Cancer Stage 2  ( Her2+, Er+, Pr +). Like everyone else I was devastated with the news. I was facing  many tests,  a few surgeries, 1 year chemotheraphy ( 3 months intense chemo of 3 drugs, and the rest one drug- Herceptin) and after that  5 years of the drug - Femara.

Also, a few years before my Cancer diagnosis, I had already endured several ups & downs in my life both financially & healthwise.  All of it kept me in terrible stress and affected my Art Business which is " my baby" since 1988!!


So when I found the lump in my right breast- my world stopped! In fact, I didn't even have insurance for  the last few years.  So yes, I was really afraid what would happen next. Fortunately,  I qualified for ObamaCare health insurance and proceeded with all the different tests, MRI, PET/ PT scans, Sentinal lymph nodes biopsy, Bone scan, etc, - a very intense waiting period for all results!


I could not focus on looking for New clients to grow my business - I was deeply researching everything about my type of  Cancer and all the methods to fight it. After a few months of testing and researching I decided on a Double Subcutaneous Mastectomy  in September 2014 and while recovering from surgery I have made a decision not to take one year of chemotheraphy treatment because :
a) terrible side effects I was about to endure
b) I simply could not imagine facing all of it while living alone and trying to work as an artist  on straight commissions.

Therefore,  I have chosen to fight my Invasive Breast Cancer with Alternative medicine protocols & treatments so that I can focus on Detoxing and Strengthening my Immune System so that I can have energy to work,  while hopefully stopping the Cancer from metastasizing.


From the day of my Cancer diagnosis , July 2014, through  all of the tests, mastectomy surgery and recovery - period of 6 months, I have used All my Personal Savings!!!  And as I continue fighting Cancer,  I am on straight commissions  only and already a few loans from good friends!! This is why I am asking for your support and donations to help me through this challenging time.


I promise you,  the Funds which will be raised here will not be spent in vain and will go towards :
 
- My #2 surgery - the final reconstruction surgery -
( deductible, one time hospital fee & recovery time out of work)  which I should have this summer.
- Doctor's visits  & other medical expenses
- Anti - Cancer Alternative medicine protocols, therapies, supplements and special diet : organic raw food and juicing
- Monthly living expenses & bills, which are crucial yet difficult to pay on time when there is not enough commissions
- Any unforseen costs that may come up during my fight
with Cancer, especially this year.
