Medical Shadowing Trip to Portugal

Hello! My name is Lina Moreno and I recently graduated from Nova Southeastern University (NSU) with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and will soon begin my career as a registered nurse. With time, my goal is to become an international nurse and provide global missionary work.

I have been given the opportunity to study abroad in Portugal for a three-week medical shadowing trip with Atlantis. Atlantis is a pre-medical abroad program that connects pre-health students with international physicians in hospitals across the world. Atlantis will help me gain first-hand experience shadowing physicians, it will allow me to rotate through various specialties, shadow for 20 hours every week, interact with other pre-health students, learn about Portugal’s culture, and obtain exposure to other healthcare systems and different types of patient care.
