Hello! We’re Deyang Dorjee, Sangmo Namgyal, and Dolma Choekyi.

All three of us share a personal connection to TCV through our parents and relatives who are TCV alumni.

For those who don’t know, TCV (Tibetan Children’s Village) is headquartered in Dharamsala, India and has several branches in India.

There are over 50,000 TCV alumni worldwide—many of whom are already making the world a better place and continue to do so.

Without TCV, our parents wouldn’t be where they are today—and neither would we. TCV not only gave our families a better future, but also gave us inspiration.

Our teachers here in the USA have also inspired us. For example, Sangmo aspires to be a teacher when she grows up, inspired by the dedication of her teachers.

This is one of the many reasons why we started this GoFundMe to support Tibetan Children’s Village.

Our goal is to raise funds to support TCV teachers in appreciation of their kindness and dedication, and to ensure that they continue to receive the support they deserve.

• They help preserve and spread Tibetan culture, language, and values.

• In addition to the regular curriculum, they also teach the importance of love and compassion.

• Without their efforts, Tibetan culture and heritage would risk being lost or forgotten.

Additionally, TCV schools are boarding schools where students live full-time. Many staff members are deeply involved to ensure the success of the schools, despite limited resources.

TCV’s motto is “Others Before Self”—another reason why we believe TCV is such an extraordinary school. We love this motto because it reminds us that we must all care for one another, since we are interdependent.
