my name is Kyra Roope, and I’m making this gofundme for my brother, Caleb.

June of last year, Caleb was t-boned on his motorcycle. His leg was gratefully spared, but he hasn't walked in a year. By the time he will walk independently, we estimate his recovery time will be a year and 8 months, if all progresses without any more setbacks. He is scheduled for his 12th surgery in Salt Lake City the end of July. Caleb lost his ability to provide for his family. And because Caleb got fired in the midst of this, he and his wife, Jessica, had to pay half down and out of pocket before the doctors would perform his last, much needed, surgery. Caleb is battling his former employer who wants him to pay them back for his former surgeries that the company health plan has covered. He is also battling the other party's insurance, which doesn't want to compensate..

Caleb and Jessica have become first-time parents in the midst of all of this suffering. They now have a wonderful, three month old gift from above! They are struggling to live day to day, not to mention trying to pay medical bills.
