Hi, I'm Hannah Whatley, Wes' cousin. This month Wes has to have two major surgeries that will put him out of work and gigs for the next couple of months. The first surgery was on April 1st for two abdominal injuries. It went well, and he is currently at home recovering. The second surgery will be to fix the nerve procedure from last year on his elbow later this month.

Last year, the nerve procedure, an ulnar nerve transposition, had a 1 in 1,000 chance of failing, which it unfortunately did. Half of his left hand is controlled by this nerve, and it has fallen out of place and become pinched again. It causes severe pain, numbness, weakness, and loss of muscle and dexterity, making everyday tasks like gripping, lifting and playing guitar very difficult. His surgeon is experienced in these repairs and is confident she can make a permanent fix with close supervision on recovery to get him back to 100%.

We all know Wes can't wait to get back out on the road and on stage for all of us, but he is being ordered to be off work and gigs for the next couple of months. He's been pretty devastated by this happening again for the second year in a row. I want to help cover some of his expenses during this time so that he can heal properly without any complications.
