UPDATE! the costs of all tratments is reaching 10k. Xena took her firsts sterps on hydro. Hi, my name is Bozena. I need your help paying £8620.98 vet bill and future rehabilitation cost for my beloved dachshund Xena. Unfortunately I am not insured. Xena was insured for first two years and then due to personal circumstances my insurance lapsed.I have owned dachshunds for all my adult live. Seven generations of the same line. All of my dogs were insured and i never made a claim. This is Xena my last dachshund. On the 28th of March suddenly she was unable to move her back legs. Following day we visited the local vets where she was referred for urgent spinal surgery to The Ralp vets in Marlow. I organised a baby sitter for my 5 year old daughter and rushed to the clinic, 1 hour away from our home. MRI results showed 2 damaged discs and she was given 95% chance of walking again. I could not let her go. My daughter was crying. We all hoped for the best. Unfortunately she is still paralysed though showing some signs of tail movement. She is rehabilitated by me daily and I also had to learn extracting her urine 4 time per day. Xena is on medication 3 times per day. After two weeks she needs to start hydro. I have spend all my savings, had a generous donation by my friend, borrowed some money. This is still not covering whole bill of £8620.98 not to mention future rehabilitation costs. I have 6 months to get her well, peeing and walking by herself. She is a lovely dog, very friendly, always stroked at school gates, loved by all vets and nurses at The Ralph. Please help me pay those bills! My daughter is crying, so am I. Please, please, please help us.! We will be grateful for any donation.
