At this time I’ve exhausted every possible avenue in order to have the money to give mom the burial she wanted. Jasper Harley Mo and myself have agreed to have her cremated. Unfortunately we are still in the position of not being able to pay for it fully. The funeral home was nice enough to take $1,000 off the cost so the amount here reflects that.
We come together with heavy hearts to honor the life and legacy of Peggy Dobson. In an outcome no one expected, Peggy Sue Dobson passed at the hospital in the early hours of February the 23rd, days before her 65th birthday. She had been tired, but otherwise as best as could be expected just a day before so this came as a shock to everyone who knew her.
Peggy Sue Dobson was a wonderful woman who touched many people's lives in so many different ways. She was always willing to help anyone in any way she could. She lived life to her fullest every day, cracking jokes and complimenting nurses even on her worst days. Her favorite thing, after family, was music of various kinds, never going to sleep without some playing.
She was intelligent, hard working, and incredibly caring. She was also the main provider and caretaker of her three teenage grandchildren Jasper, Harley, and Morgana.
From Lydia: For the past 38 years I watched my mom do everything for everyone around her. Taking care of first her father during his health issues then taking care of Nana at home for 12 years all while juggling work and trying to raise me. Most of the time I missed just how wonderful my mother is, I made life absolutely hell for her, definitely more so than most kids. For the past 3 years she has been the sole provider for jasper, Harley and Mo while I tried to get my shit together. Mom never asked for anything for herself, just wanted to take care of the rest of us no matter how it affected her. She always told me she would out live me just to spite me, she never said what she wanted us to do in this situation. All she ever did was say she didn’t want to be cremated. Besides caring for jasper Harley and Mo, the main thing is being able to give my Mom her one request. Any donation would be greatly appreciated and will go towards funeral expenses, and providing for the grandchildren she was forced to leave behind. The Dobson family appreciates your kindness and support as we are grieving during this tragic loss.
