Help George with Medical Expenses
2020 was an unimaginable year for everyone. Faced with many unfamiliar challenges and uncertainty, the world finally seemed to “open up” around November, just in time for the holiday season. Unfortunately, this was right around the time our dad, George, started experiencing some concerning symptoms, warranting what we thought would be a quick trip to the emergency room. Little did we know this was just the start of a battle that he has since been tackling head-on. Anyone who knows our Dad would say he’s one of the strongest people we all know. This was just the beginning of the long grueling months ahead that included countless ER trips, scans, hospitalizations, procedures, that left us with no answer. A transfer of care, a surgery, and what felt like a decade later, he was given an appointment with a specialist where he was ultimately diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, Stage IV.
He was admitted to the oncology unit (cancer center), where he underwent even further testing/procedures and began an aggressive form of chemotherapy, in less than 24 hours. This particular type of chemotherapy requires round-the-clock infusions for 5 days each cycle, requiring him to be hospitalized for weeks at a time for each one. To date he has completed 6 cycles, and surgery to remove his spleen. He has been true to his strength and he is actively conquering this dreadful disease. We could not be any more proud of him. As he continues to overcome new challenges, the medical bills continue to pile up, getting more and more difficult to keep up with. Our parents have been through so much in this last year and never ask for help from anyone.
We’re simply making this page for anyone who would like to show support to our parents during this time. We thank everyone who finds the kindness in their heart to help our parents during this difficult time.
Love,
Jena and Justine
