Medical expenses for Misty Jo Beal

Donation protected

For some time now, Misty has been powering through headaches that just wouldn’t go away.  Squashing her fears she went to see her doctor on March 14th. Her and her provider were shocked to discover her blood pressure was through the roof.  Immediately Misty was sent to St. Joseph Hospital. Upon arrival, her blood pressure was measured at 230/180. A STAT CT scan was ordered, and that’s when they discovered the problem; a brain aneurysm behind her left eye.  Misty was admitted for a week to try to get a handle on this rapidly unraveling situation. To this day, Physicians have been unable to control Misty’s blood pressure, which has in turn caused the aneurysm to grow. Due to the complexity of the situation, local intervention isn’t an option, and her case has been transferred to the Neurology Department of Mass General Medical Center in Boston. Misty received the call this morning that she is to be in Boston on Thursday to meet the team of Physicians responsible for her care, and go over the strategy to get her better.  The plan at this time is to surgically remove the aneurism. The surgery has not yet been scheduled, however due to the severity of this case, and the continued inability to control Misty’s blood pressure, the date will be quite soon.

This Amazing woman needs our help!!

Misty is a 33 year old single mother of two amazing children; Christian who is 12 and Renezmae who is 6.  Due to the situation she is currently on unpaid leave from PCHC (Penobscot Community Health Center ) where she was working as a Medical Assistant.  Her Doctors are only comfortable with bed rest so her condition isn’t aggravated. But this doesn’t mean she can enjoy this luxury with two dependent children and bills that will not pay themselves!

Misty Is one of the most caring people i have ever met; she is hardworking and such an amazing mother.  To put it mildly, she is struggling to keep up with bills and furthermore find money for traveling back and forth to Boston.  After the surgery is complete, the time of recovery is unknown.

I will update this as i receive more information.
