Handicapped Vehicle for John P Butler

John P Butler, the gentleman in question is sixty-four years of age. He is permanently disabled,  wheelchair bound and a quadriplegic.

He became permanently disabled in his early twenties. He was swimming with friends and family on the northside of Chicago in Lake Michigan at the time of his accident.

A broken neck was the result of the injury and not repairable. So, he has been in a wheelchair for quite a few years.

As his friends and neighbor,s we want to try to give him a hand with the purchase of a new wheelchair van.

He has struggled along all these years without asking for anything from anybody and has managed to do so since he was young.

With the regular bills he has to pay, as we all do, he also has the attendant bills for people to help him out on a daily basis.

The job he had unfortunately ended. The company closed the unit he was employed at and has been looking for something new for a number of months now.

The reason for this GoFundMe Me page is to collect enough money to buy him a better vehicle. He does not drive the van himself because of his injury so his attendant,  friends or family, drive him around.

His van is now twenty years old. It is a 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan that needs work now but he is a little cash short and has put it off for a while.

Even if it was repaired we are not sure how long it will really last. Cars of this age that are used regularly do not run forever and this one is definitely on its last legs.

So as his neighbors and friends, we decided to start this GoFundme page to get a little help from generous others.

We would be most grateful if all of the kind souls out there could pitch in and give us a hand. Many thanks again to help us reach our goal.
