A close friend of mine, a proud U.S. Marine veteran who served during Operation Iraqi Freedom, is facing a difficult time. While serving, he sustained a serious injury that left him permanently disabled. Despite the challenges he's faced since returning home, he's always carried himself with quiet strength, never asking for help—even when he needs it most.

Recently, a series of financial setbacks has left him unable to cover basic necessities like utility bills and groceries for the month. He has also just moved into a new apartment, but with no resources to furnish it, he's living with the bare minimum—only a bed, no table, not even a chair or a couch.

He would never ask for help himself, so I'm doing it for him.
