Baby Joel’s Journey

My precious grandson, Joel Steven, was born on May 15th, 2023 at just 1lb 10oz, at 24 weeks 5 days gestation. He’s strong, feisty, & ready to put up a fight. We are praying for steady progress as he continues to grow and achieve over the next months. Joel has so much love and support surrounding him as he navigates this rollercoaster.

Joel’s NICU stay at Riley is going to be extensive, and we have been told to expect him to stay until his due date (August 30th), at least. With Joel being at Riley, Grace and Reid are going to be spending a lot of time away from home with a lot of traveling back and forth from Indy to Fort Wayne. We hope that this gofundme can help them with some of the expenses they’ll have during his stay, such as food, gas, lodging, and any other costs that might come up. Both Reid and Grace plan to work as much as possible during his NICU time, and take time off when Joel finally gets to come home.
