Help Michael and his family

So, this is not a "feel sorry for them" message…
Not trying to bring you down during the holidays, message…
I want to emphasize how hard it is to put this message up, because, growing up, we weren't raised to ask for handouts. We were always taught life is hard and you have to work hard to get ahead and make do with what you have.
But here I am, putting this message up for my kid sister and her family. They could use some help... Michael and Tina were living life... doing everything right and this is the card they have been dealt:
Many of you may (or may not) know that my sister, Tina and her family have been through some major life altering events in the past year. Her husband, my brother in law, Michael, was diagnosed with glioblastoma. To say that this has been a huge challenge for everyone is putting it mildly.
Glioblastoma is an aggressive type of cancer that can occur in the brain or spinal cord. The average survival time is 12-18 months - only 25% of glioblastoma patients survive more than one year, and only 5% of patients survive more than five years.
So, they've all been fighting this craziness since November of 2020. Michael has been a real fighter and Tina and the kids (Michael jr and Angelina) have been right alongside fighting with him every second.
Michael has gotten to the point where he needs some extra help, physically, just to be able to carry out normal activities or movement. There are certain motor skills and body functions that have taken a toll on him and he is in need of more assistance at home to just be able to help him move around. Michael is obviously not able to work and hasn't been able to for quite a few months now and some expenses (like at home help) are not covered by insurance. Some of these expenses are out of pocket and God only knows what more obstacles they have ahead of them.
Humbly, I'm asking for you to support them to lessen their blow.
Enjoy your families during the holidays, and every day and let go of anything that truly is meaningless! Thank your lucky stars, every day, for the blessings you've been given because it could ALWAYS be worse. Life is indeed to short and you just don't know what this crazy life has in store for you at any given moment.
