Last week the ButteFire ravaged my hometown community. The devastation it left has impacted not just thousands of people, but native wildlife that called the foothills home, as well as pets that were left behind due to the speed of the fire, or scattered when the threat of fire neared. In the coming months I am going to do what I do best and help raise awareness for the people and animals in need in Calaveras County. I am starting with the needs of the animals as the donations for families displaced by the fire has been overwhelming. Angels Vet has treated many of our animals over the years- they are not just incredibly talented, but have huge hearts. But they need help. Each burn victim costs $300-$1200 to treat. Help me help them by raising funds that I can deliver when I make my way home in the coming weeks to help the community I once called home. No donation is too small- any and all help is welcome. The cat in this picture is just one of hundreds of animals in need of care right now. Please, help me help those who can not fend for themselves, and give them all a fighting chance.
