Angel's for Adam

UPDATE:

We regret to inform family and friends and anyone who has donated towards Adam’s transplant fund, that Adam has gone to be with our Lord. We are planning his funeral and celebration of life. Any and all donations up to this point can be refunded if so requested, however if not and any donations from this point forward will be used toward his funeral expenses. Adam Kelly Martinez was born on May 21, 1985 just 38 short years ago. In that short amount of time, he has created two beautiful children, Jaycee Martinez (12 years old), and Wyatt Martinez (10 years old) who are his life. These two children are what give him the will to live every day, and as of recently, this has gathered a whole new meaning in Adam’s life. A short time ago, Adam was diagnosed with multiple organ failure, specifically liver and kidney. He has been admitted in the hospital since 10/16/2023, and he is currently fighting for his life. He is on dialysis 3 days a week and receiving extensive treatment to keep his body functioning. Adam needs a liver transplant to live. Unfortunately, the waitlist here in California would take too long, and Adam would be long gone before his turn came to be matched. This has left his family to search for possible options outside of California. Iowa state is one of the several options we have looked at, and their waitlist can get Adam a liver within 24 hours versus a 2 year wait here in California. In order for that to happen, he would need insurance that would be accessible across state lines. This is going to cost extensive monthly premiums, along with medical traveling costs that our family cannot sustain on our own financially. Not to mention hotel costs for us to be able to be with him during surgery. On behalf of our whole family, most importantly his 2 babies, we are asking for any and all donations you can and are willing to give. Even if you can only donate your time and effort to share, it would mean the whole world to us and to Adam. Every day he makes the promise to keep fighting, and every day we promise we are fighting for him. His children need their father, and he deserves the opportunity to give them that.
