The Arboleda and Clemmons family is suffering the recent loss of their amazing Mother, Maria Arboleda. 

 

Maria was always a ray of sunshine to everyone she met. She was a firm believer in the power of prayer, kindness and caring for others. Raised with those values, her daughter Vanessa gave all that back to her Mother, and more, during the past 3 years of her illness; working as her sole caretaker and meeting her every need. 

 

The loss of Maria also triggers the loss of Vanessa's job and income. And unfortunately, the focus on her mother's needs came at a cost to her own health - and now Vanessa needs some medical attention of her own in order to be able to return to work. Currently Vanessa cannot drive and can barely walk due to medical complications with Lymphedema in both her legs.

Lymphedema is a condition that causes lymphatic fluid to build up in the tissues of the skin, causing chronic inflammation. This occurs when the lymphatic system, which normally drains excess fluid, is damaged or blocked, leading to fluid retention and excessive swelling. 

This makes everyday tasks difficult or almost impossible.

In addition, Vanessa is the sole wage earner for her household. As a result, the family is graciously inviting you to share in contributing donations to cover Vanessa's medical expenses, and to help with everyday living costs until she is back to work.

 

Prior to caretaking for her mother Maria, Vanessa selflessly dedicated herself to caretaking for others, working at ‘Visiting Angels’ for several years, providing medical aid, home services, a friendly face and a hand to hold to those without family to do so themselves.

Maria’s entire family is so grateful to Vanessa and her husband Stephen for taking such wonderful care of our beloved Mother, Sister, Aunt and Grandmother for all this time; we ask for your help in giving back to Vanessa the way she so selflessly gives back to others.

This initiative is crucial, and by donating to our cause you will play a pivotal role in getting Vanessa back on her feet so she can continue helping others, something Maria was so very proud of. Every donation, no matter the size, brings this goal closer to fruition.
