Bring Dad home
Donation protected
The passing of my mom on November 19th, 2015 was difficult for everyone in our family. However, for my dad who suffers from end stage Multiple Sclerosis (MS), her passing is even more devastating. She was not only his wife, friend, and companion, but also his sole care giver. Being in the end stages of MS means that my dad is paralyzed from the waist down. Without expensive medical equipment, such as a Hoyer Lift, he is completely bed ridden. He depended on my mom for food, incontinence care, turning and repositioning, and bathing. Now that she is gone, he is in the hands of strangers.

My dad does not have a long life ahead of him. He has already surpassed the life expectancy of a majority of people who suffer from MS. I want nothing more than to bring my dad to Cincinnati, Ohio so can spend his remaining time surrounded by family. He would get to finally meet his only two grandchildren and be given the love, support, and comfort he deserves.
My plea is simple. Instead of sending flowers, cards, and gifts in memory of my mom, please donate that money to help bring my dad home. My mom dedicated her life to my dad. And even after her passing she would want nothing more than to ensure my dad's health, safety, and comfort. Bringing my dad to Ohio will help her rest in peace.
The cost of getting my dad to Ohio is steep due to the necessity of a medical air ambulance to fly him here. Any donation amount will help and is very much appreciated. If you are unable to donate then prayers and positive thoughts will be enough, My mom was very lucky to be surrounded by so many great friends and family. The best comfort you can provide to our family during this difficult time is to share your wonderful memories of her and to show support to my dad just as my mom did her entire life.
