On September 4th, 2019, Andrew's life changed forever. He not only had to say good-bye to his grandfather, whose funeral was that day, but that morning he got his biopsy results back and his worst fear was realized. The swollen lymph nodes in his neck were indeed cancer. So in classic compassionate Andrew fashion, he immediately thought of others before himself; he tucked that emotional information down deep inside and focused on the task at hand...and with a very heavy heart, he eloquently read his grandfather's eulogy and stood strong as he proudly carried his grandfather's casket to it's final resting place.

His strength and compassion continue to shine as he eagerly and proudly serves his community as an admired police officer and SWAT team member. Andrew is also a beloved husband who adores his wife, Jenn, and a proud interactive, fun-loving father to his precious daughter, 8-year-old, Alexa. Maintaining his strength and health, Andrew always plans a little time for himself; to work-out at the gym, play with his dogs, Roxy and Shadow, and spend time with his family and friends.

Following a rigorous diagnostic experience, which included: doctor visits, lab work, the removal/biopsy of swollen lymph nodes, PET/CT scan, MRI and bone marrow extraction; Andrew was diagnosed with a rare form of Non-Hodgkin's
Lymphoma (B cell/marginal zone/stage 3). There is also a 5cm by 5cm lesion on the skull that we are waiting for answers on. The doctor continues to find that the cancer has spread throughout his body.

We, his family and friends, are confident that Andrew's strength and love of life will get him through this battle, but unfortunately, according to his oncologist, there is no cure and he's looking at a lifetime of cancer treatments, which started September 30th. The cost has already begun to add up and this is only the beginning.

Based on this information, and the fact that he's only 27 years old, we know we'll need a much bigger circle of support to get him to the finish line...REMISSION! Thank you in advance for your compassion, prayers, kindness, generosity and giving him a chance to fulfill a few more fatherly dreams; such as: comforting Alexa through her first broken heart; watching her graduate from high school and college; walking her down the aisle; and making him a doting grandfather himself one day; with a home full of the warmth of family and friends, love, laughter and cherished memories.
