My name is Amy Svendberg, and I have known Alberto Poot for over 15 years. Alberto has worked at Poggio as a busser, and is beloved by staff and regulars alike. Alberto has worked tirelessly through the years, and is a true loyal part of the Poggio family.

Last Thanksgiving, Alberto started to have issues walking, and work became more difficult every shift. When he finally went to see a doctor, he was told he needs to have a double knee replacement, but due to a backlog of pending procedures and staffing shortages in the hospital, he cannot have surgery for three months.

Alberto has not been able to get on disability, and since he cannot work, he has no income coming in. Alberto does not have any family here that he can lean on, and he has no other means of support for the time being.
