On June 20, 2020, my father Jimmy Dyke broke two bones in his neck. We were all having a great time at lake Texoma and my dad was on his boat teaching a little girl how to dive off the boat. He Dove head first into the water which was knee deep and hit his head. When he surfaced, he was dazed and confused and did not know what had happened. He felt a lot of pain in his neck but did not want to leave. If anyone knows my father, he is a hard working man and doesn’t go to the hospital for anything. My family convinced him to go and he wanted to pack everything up before he even left. I swear this man is going to have a hard time not being able to work or do anything. The doctors took two CT scans and found out that he had broken two bones in his neck and they are right by the arteries. He is being transported to Plano Medical center where he will have surgery. And due to the Coronavirus, only one person is allowed into the room for 24 hours. And if you know my family, we are all super close so it is devastating for us all. Also my family is never the type to ask for help, we always figure out a way so this is out of the ordinary for me. The bills are going to drain my parents, especially my dad not being able to work or make money. Anything will help my family. I’m trying to raise money for my dad so he doesn’t have to worry.
