Almost 13 years ago, on July 28, 2002, my husband, Mel, suffered a heart attack while playing tennis at the regional park in the middle of Cerritos, CA.  Despite being surrounded by nurses and others who could offer aid, he was without oxygen for 15 to 18 minutes, which left him physically disabled and needing our care 24/7. God has blessed us with four wonderful daughters (two of them shown here) who have all contributed at various times and in various capacities, even from long distances, and the time has come for a "homecoming" for our Seattle daughter and her family.  We are so excited to have them back, because that means that 3 of our 6 grandchildren will now be in-house entertainment for Grandpa and Grandma, while Mom and Dad assist with Grandpa's care.  However, our 3 bedroom home will be stretched to the max, so in search of extra space and needed updates that go beyond what the budget will bear, we are seeking some assistance.  Our contractor friend is even looking forward to the possibility of making some changes that will allow bathroom access for Mel to be able to use the shower, rather than just the bed bath he currently receives.
