Rockin' Against Multiple Sclerosis

Hi, my name's Addie and I'm fundraising for Rockin' Against Multiple Sclerosis (RAMS), the University of Missouri's largest student-run philanthropic organization. RAMS raises money for and provides service to clients of the MS Institute of Mid-Missouri.

MS is an autoimmune disease that disrupts communication between the brain and the body, and one which hits very close to home. Having a mother with MS, I've seen first-hand how debilitating its effects can be. Multiple Sclerosis is also a very expensive disease, and one which causes complications that health insurance doesn't always cover. That's where RAMS comes in. The money we raise is used to purchase items like grab bars, ramps, wheelchairs, accessible vans, cooling vests, and other daily necessities for those living with multiple sclerosis. Things insurance lets fall through the cracks, but are essential for maintaining independence.

I have been a part of the RAMS family since starting at Mizzou. As a junior, I served as director of the organization. In my three years on RAMS, we raised over $360,000. Though I am currently studying abroad and cannot participate in this amazing organization directly, I still want to do my part. And I'd love it if you could do yours. Any amount you can donate will make a difference in the lives of those living with Multiple Sclerosis.
