Help My Family in Ukraine
Donation protected
My name is Sasha. When I was a little girl, my grandparents would take me to this park in the center of Kyiv. It was a little tradition that we had, and every time I have visited my family throughout the years, we still go back to that same little park nestled in the square. Now, with the violence spreading through Ukraine and surging towards the capitol where my family resides, I find myself realizing that that park may soon be filled with exploded mortar shells instead of the memories of childhood.
Eight years ago when Crimea was annexed from Ukraine, my grandmother lost everything she had. Now, my whole family may lose their homes. They are sleeping in bomb shelters, metro stations, driving out to the outskirts of town, staying in the tiny villages hoping and praying that they will be far enough away that their kids can sleep without hearing explosions in the distance. With the siege of Kyiv being likely mere days away, I am reaching out to my community to help raise funds necessary to help them get to safety outside of the country. I ask that you take this and share it with your communities and donate what you can.
100% of the funds will be sent directly to them to assist with travel out of the country as well as cover emergency expenses and lodging to be safe until the conflict subsides.
