GLA trip to the Dominican Republic

My name is Helio, I'm 15 years old, and am going to be a junior next year at Glendale High School.
This summer I will participate in one of the Global Leadership Adventures program.
For the past few years, I have wanted to participate on one of these programs and live such an experience.
Having the opportunity to help others, as well as exploring the world have always been very important to me.
Also, travelling like this makes me feel free, which is the most fulfilling feeling someone can have.
I chose to go to the Dominican Republic because building sustainable houses for people in need seems like a rewarding activity, I like the idea of helping people in their everyday life.
I also feel it is important for each of us to try and involve ourselves with cultures we are not necessarily knowledgeable on.
I have been working on raising the funds for this trip on my own during the year, but I would need your help to do so.
So please, help me try to reach my goal.
