Karen has dedicated so much of her life to helping others. She’s been a nurse for 30+ years, a mother, a grandmother, and friend to many. On 11/14, she was found on the floor by police after a wellness check. She had apparently suffered a debilitating stroke the day prior and no one was aware. She was transported to Lewistown Hospital, then to Hershey medical center where she remains in the neurological critical care unit. Although she has made great progress in the past few days, she still is unable to use her right side. She is a very independent person, but she will not be returning to work anytime soon. I’m trying to raise money to cover her monthly bills so it’s one less thing to worry about, as she already has a lot on her plate, as well as any rehabilitation services she may need.
