Help a great Father..

Hi my name is Marilyn, I’m the 18 year old daughter of Mario Portillo, a Father of only 2 kids and a man of family.

My father was born in a small village in El Salvador, a place in which there wasn’t many to gain over from. Although it was always such a happy environment no matter the cost of everything, it sadly wasn’t enough for a big family.

As he grew up he knew he had to do something more greater to help his family maintain themselves back there. Therefore 20+ years ago he traveled his way into the United States and dedicated all his work to his family.

Although 20+ years of working hard did a lot for all of us.. it really didn’t go the right way for him. Due to the hard action of work he percude for all of us, my father unfortunately grew a back spine pain throughout the years. As the brave man he has always been, he kept working hard for the needs of all of us and himself. At a point it was too much and bad enough to lock him into bed for the past almost 2 months in faith that one day he can be good, and continue working again. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case.. my Father had to go in for an emergency call about twice and was sent back home still in the condition he was first left with. The last time he had to go in, he was sent to an emergency spine surgery in which can’t be covered in his state of citizenship. My father now has to stay in the hospital for recovery and has to be in disability of work for the next three months. We as family do our part, but although we wish to be enough, in this country it’s never enough.
